Zakk Wylde is to play a very special show for the inmates of a UK prison prior to his headline set on the Metal Hammer stage at High Voltage next weekend!
Zakk Wylde is set to play a short set and take part in a Q&A at the HMP Stocken prison in Stretton, Leicestershire, England as part of their anti-violence/anti-bullying campaign. The set will take place before 60 inmates.
Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinnie Appice will play a very special tribute to one of the greatest voices of all time at this year’s first ever High Voltage festival on July 24th at Victoria Park in London.
Playing the songs that made three generations of metal fans worship the ground Ronnie walked upon, the H&H members will be joined by legendary former Deep Purple and Black Sabbath man Glenn Hughes and Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, who sings for power metallers Masterplan and has also released his own tribute to Ronnie in the past.

The first ever High Voltage festival will be headlined by classic rock giants ZZ Top and the reformed Emerson, Lake and Palmer with the Metal Hammer stage featuring Down, Black Label Society, Saxon, Cathedral, Clutch, Opeth and many other metal heavyweights!
Tickets cost £75 per day or £135 for the full action-packed weekend and all regular ticket holders can now upgrade their tickets to VIP or VIP Packages. The VIP packages will include hotel and transport packages and bespoke merchandise.
